Dow Jones Industrial Average Index settled at 43,428, -1,118.06 points for the week.

Crude oil settled at $70.25, -0.32.

Dollar Index settled at 106.64, -0.15.

Baltic Dry Index (a shipping freight-cost index) settled at 981, +189 for the week.

 

Corn


March futures at $4.91¼, -5¢ for the week.

December futures at $4.75, +2¢ for the week.


Basis (H = March; e.g. 10H means 10¢ over March futures) (Futures price + Basis = Cash price)

  • The US national average basis is -31H, 1¢ firmer.

  • Dayton, Ohio Cargill’s spot basis is 5H, steady, $4.96 cash price.

  • Iowa Falls Poet’s spot basis is -10H, steady, $4.81 cash price.
