Dow Jones Industrial Average Index settled at 43,445, -544.00 points for the week.

Crude oil settled at $66.95, -3.48.

Dollar Index settled at 106.67, +1.72.

Baltic Dry Index (a shipping freight-cost index) settled at 1,785, +290 for the week.

 

Corn


December futures at $4.24, -7¢ for the week.


Basis (Z = Dec; e.g. 10Z means 10¢ over December futures) (Futures price + Basis = Cash price)

  • The US national average basis is -20Z, 4¢ firmer.

  • Dayton, Ohio Cargill’s spot basis is even Z, steady, $4.24 cash price.

  • Iowa Falls Poet’s spot basis is 3Z, steady, $4.27 cash price.
