Dow Jones Industrial Average Index settled at 41,938, -768.11 points for the week.

Crude oil settled at $78.82, +5.36.

Dollar Index settled at 109.96, +1.78.

Baltic Dry Index (a shipping freight-cost index) settled at 1,093, +50 for the week.

 

Corn


March futures at $4.76½, +25¾¢ for the week.


Basis (H = March; e.g. 10H means 10¢ over March futures) (Futures price + Basis = Cash price)

  • The US national average basis is -30H, 2¢ weaker.

  • Dayton, Ohio Cargill’s spot basis is even H, steady, $4.77 cash price.

  • Iowa Falls Poet’s spot basis is -15H, steady, $4.61 cash price.
