Northwest Ohio is out of corn. Our client, Evan, reported a nearby feed mill took their corn basis to +75Z (75¢ over December futures) for corn delivered by Saturday, the 14th. Kalmbach Feeds in Upper Sandusky is paying +70Z through Saturday and Poet in Fostoria is paying +100Z this week. Poet in Leipsic is +50Z, Poet in Marion is +80Z through Friday.

A day after the 50th anniversary of the start of the 1973 Yom Kippur war, the terrorist group HAMAS attacked Israel from GAZA yesterday with a coordinated land, sea and ground attack. The ground attack broke through physical and electronic barriers around Gaza and roamed at will through Israeli neighborhoods, killing scores of civilians and taking families as hostages, torturing them in private and public. Israel responded with a massive destructive attack in Lebanon, but it will take house to house searches to find all the invaders. Hezbollah is threatening to invade Israel from Lebanon (in the north) if Israel launches a ground offensive against Gaza. Hezbollah is an Iranian terrorist tool. The USA recently released to Iran US$6 billion of frozen assets.

Early this morning, a new wave of rocket attacks on Israel from the Gaza Strip and Israel is transporting tanks to the area. One of the top military advisers of Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, issued a statement saying that Iran supports the Hamas attack on Israel.
