Last evening it was raining in Northern Iowa and Southern Illinois and moving east to the dry Eastern Corn Belt. Of course, futures prices would be down, but the corn crop yield is pretty well set and beans have a long way to go before that crop is made. NOAA’s August weather outlook is still hot and dry.

 

Get those August basis and futures contracts rolled before the close tomorrow.

 

Argentine ag-consultant Pablo Adreani reported Saturday:

"The government announced today a reduction of the soybean export taxes from 33% to 23% for a limited period."  

Is it wishful thinking, fact, or rumor? Does it include bean meal and soy oil? We will find out later today.

 

The Biden Administration said on July 10 that it would start deploying long-range missiles in Germany in 2026 for a longer-term deployment that will include SM-6, Tomahawk cruise missiles, and developmental hypersonic weapons.
