According to AgRural Consultancy:
Farmers in Brazil have harvested 2.2% of the 2023 second corn crop by Jun 8, compared with 1.4% a week earlier, 6.6% in the same period last year and 3.1% in the five-year average. Mato Grosso grows more than 30% of Brazil’s corn and that is where the harvest is concentrated with 4.4% of the corn harvested. Grain moisture reaching up to 20% has prevented farmers from harvesting more quickly in the state, but the yield reports are excellent.
